Jojoba Carrier Oil

Jojoba is a shrub that grows in the dry regions of northern Mexico and the southwestern United States. Jojoba oil and wax are produced from the seeds and are used medicinally.

Crude jojoba oil obtained directly by cold expression or solvent extraction from the seeds of simmondsia chinensis, without any alteration, produces a golden or light yellow oil. It has a nice light nutty flavor.

• Sebum regulator: This vegetable oil regulates the production of sebum. Depending on the type of skin on which it is applied, it will increase or decrease the production of sebum, which will make it possible to eliminate pimples on oilier skin and revitalize drier skin. This property also makes it ideal for treating greasy, dry or easily breakage hair.
• Softens the skin: This vegetable oil helps the skin regain all its elasticity by activating the metabolism of elastin and limiting the loss of water by skin cells. This helps combat skin aging and limit the appearance of wrinkles.

Unlike other botanical essential oils, jojoba oil is generally not irritating. Allergic reaction rarely happens.
• Stable and easy to maintain: Jojoba vegetable oil improves the stability of cosmetic products that include it as part of their composition.

Jojoba oil for hair

• Jojoba oil has an oily composition, so it can be used as a moisturizer.
• The oil can also hydrate the scalp and can be a dandruff remedy. Jojoba is rich in vitamins and minerals that nourish hair, including vitamin C, B vitamins, vitamin E, copper, and zinc.
• Because it strengthens hair, jojoba oil is also believed to can prevent hair loss and promote its thickness. The idea behind this is that the oil hydrates the hair follicles, preventing dryness that leads to hair loss.

How to use jojoba oil for hair?

1. Add a few drops (3-5 drops to 1-2 teaspoons) to conditioners for the hair to provide additional protection against dryness, breakage and split ends.
2. Massage several drops in the scalp immediately after washing (when used on damp scalp, jojoba oil is more easily absorbed and provides longer-lasting hydration to the scalp).
