How to work with gel wax for candles:

1. Cut the gel wax into small pieces to facilitate even melting.
2. Melt slowly within the technical range indicated by the manufacturer: 60–80 °C.
3. Do not apply a direct flame and avoid overheating the product.
4. Mix slowly until you obtain a homogeneous, transparent texture without lumps.
5. Add aromatic essences for candles in the right amount for your formula.
6. Perform a preliminary test of transparency, stability, and combustion before increasing the fragrance percentage.
7. For coloring, use only dyes fat soluble compatible with gel wax.
8. Do not use water-soluble dyes, water-based cosmetics, or pigments unsuitable for candles, as they may cloud the gel or separate.
9. Place the wick centered in a heat-resistant glass, cup, jar, or container.
10. If you incorporate sand, shells, decorative stones or interior details, always check the final design with a full burn test.
11. Pour slowly, avoiding excessive shaking to reduce bubbles.
12. Let it cool without moving the container and avoid drafts or sudden temperature changes.
13. Let the candle rest before performing the combustion test.

Important: The final result depends on the fragrance, dye, wick, container, quantity used, and candle design. Always perform a full burn test before making multiple candles, selling, or giving away the finished candle.

Pro tip: To maintain the crystal effect, use a small amount of fragrance and colorant, and always mix slowly. More perfume or more colorant does not mean a better result: an excess can cloud the gel, alter combustion, or affect the final finish.
