Description

El rosehip oil It is a vegetable oil with great properties for aesthetics. It is extracted by cold pressing the seeds of Rosehip (rosehip), a wild shrub of the rose family (Rose Moschata or Rosa Rubiginosa). Although it is a plant native to Europe, we can also find it in the southern Andes, especially in Chile and Argentina.

Its composition made up of numerous essential fatty acids (omega 6, omega 3, linoleic acid), antioxidants and vitamins (retinol, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, E) make it essential for skin care.
It has a deep golden color with a subtle earthy aroma and a fine, dry texture.

It can reduce the appearance of scars and wrinkles;
It is believed that the rosehip has more vitamin C than an orange or a lemon. Research shows that vitamin C can help reduce ultraviolet light damage caused by free radicals. Vitamin C also supports collagen production, which helps reduce wrinkles;
Contains Vitamin A which helps reduce and reverse sun damage and reduce hyperpigmentation;
A 2003 study found that rose hips are a great source of lycopene. Lycopene is an antioxidant that helps protect the skin from skin-damaging free radicals.

Contraindications rosehip oil

Side effects of topical rosehip oil are rare. although an allergic reaction is possible. To limit your risk of allergic reaction, do a skin patch test before use. Begin by applying rosehip oil to your wrist, elbow, or jawline. Then cover the area and leave the oil on your skin for 24 hours. If no rash occurs, it is unlikely that you have an allergy to it.
