El Lemon Verbena essential oil es 100% pure and natural extracted by steam distillation from the herb Aloysia triphylla (Lippia citriodora). Its aroma is citrusy, fresh, herbaceous, lemony, slightly floral, slightly spicy and slightly sweet.

Lemon Verbena Oil Benefits and Uses

Lemon verbena essential oil can be used for topical and aromatic applications. It is a smooth and safe oil for most users, however, its intake should be avoided.

Protects the body against cell damage: Lemon verbena contains several plant compounds, including terpenoids and phenolic compounds, that have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Cough treatment: Due to its expectorant properties, verbena oil is often used to loosen phlegm, clear congestion, and relieve pain associated with coughing. In addition, due to its high content of citral, it can eventually kill the bacteria found in the mucus.
Reduce anxiety: Emotional and energetic lemon verbena essential oil can help reduce anxiety and depression. Its sedative and aphrodisiac properties make it useful for relaxing the mind and uplifting and improving mood.

If you are looking for a natural way to create a relaxing environment, try adding a few drops of lemon verbena essential oil to a diffuser or bath and enjoy its pleasant and very relaxing citrus scent.

Disinfectant: Thanks to its natural antibacterial and antifungal properties, lemon verbena oil eliminates many of the bacteria that are usually found in the house. To kill germs on surfaces, add lemon and vinegar to lemon verbena oil and store in a spray bottle for easy cleanup after cooking.

Spraying in the air can also help kill any environmental bacteria.

Diminishes the signs of aging- Add a few drops of the oil to a carrier oil, such as sweet almond oil or jojoba oil, and use to massage hands or other areas of the body likely to show signs of aging.

Lemon verbena oil can be used on its own or mixed with other essential oils to enhance its effect. Blends well with peppermint, spearmint, lemon, neroli, and palmarosa oil.
