El Cajeput essential oil (also known as cajaput essential oil - both correct), 100% pure and natural is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and twigs of the Melaleuca Cajuputi.
Aromatically, Cajeput essential oil is quite camphorated but has a fresh, uplifting and fruity quality. Combines well with angelica oils, Bergamot, nail, lavender essence , geranium y thyme.

What is cajeput oil used for?

✡️ It is very effective in fights infections by bacteria, viruses and fungi, such as tetanus (bacteria), influenza (virus), and infectious diseases such as cholera and typhoid fever;
In this sense, a study published by the National Library of Medicine In 2020, he analyzed the possibility of using cajeput oil to prevent the development of COVID-19. The researchers cited the inherent antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties of the oil as a subject of interest for the study of cajeput for this specific virus. To test their hypothesis, the researchers looked at the reaction of different cajeput oil extracts on human proteins commonly attacked by this type of coronavirus. While the study results revealed "strong" inhibitory activity, however, it was not conclusively shown that cajeput oil prevented this coronavirus from entering the body.
✡️ The essential oil of cajeput is of character analgesic, which means that reduces the sensation of pain. It is recommended to use it in highly dilute solutions in a carrier oil, for local application at the source of pain;
✡️ Like the eucalyptus essential oil, cajeput oil is also a standout decongestant and expectorant. Due to its decongestant property, it provides immediate relief in nasal congestion, throat and respiratory system conditions, as well as relieving coughing, infections and inflammation linked to these symptoms;
✡️ Its properties like repellent insecticide are so strong that a dilute solution for spreading with the help of a spray can keep mosquitoes, ants and many other types of pests out of rooms.
👉 A diluted solution of cajeput oil can also be rubbed on the body to keep insects away.
