Bergamot essential oil is extracted by cold expression of the ripe and unripe fruits of the bergamot orange tree (Citrus bergamia). It stands out for its citrus scent but still sweet.
The "FCF" in the title means bergapten free - a photosensitive compound that is possessed by most essential oils of citrus origin, which makes bergamot essential oil safe for the skin when exposed to the sun.
