El tree essential oil of the the, 100% pure and natural, is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and twigs of the Melaleuca alternifolia which is indigenous to the northeast coast of New South Wales, Australia.

Tea tree oil has been used as a traditional medicine by the Aboriginal people of Australia for centuries. These native Australians crush the leaves of the tea tree to extract the oil, then inhale it to treat coughs and colds or apply it to the skin to cure a variety of conditions.
