El Castor oil It is a multi-purpose vegetable oil that people have used for thousands of years. It is elaborated extracting the oil from the seeds of the Ricinus communis plant. These seeds, which are known as castor beans, contain a toxic enzyme called ricin. However, this enzyme is deactivated thanks to the heating process to which the castor oil is subjected, allowing the innocuous and safe use of the oil.
